Dr. Coketha Hill
Dr. Coketha Hill is dedicated to enhancing equity and bettering educational outcomes for children in Kansas City public schools. As the CEO and Founder of Blaque KC, she leverages over 15 years of experience in the non-profit sector to drive change and create culturally affirming environments for underserved children.
Introduced in 2022, the Charter School Board Draft connects community leaders with charter schools seeking dedicated and talented board members. This three-month training program includes sessions on governance, the history of education from 1867 to the present, and a comprehensive data analysis, ensuring candidates are ready to serve from day one. Modeled after the NFL Draft, the Charter School Board Draft celebrates local charter schools, their students, and current board members while offering community champions the chance to join and contribute to these boards.
