Keri Rodrigues

National Parents Union

Keri Rodrigues knows first-hand the challenges families face navigating public school systems. The former union organizer turned education advocate believes that students and parents must lead the conversation on improving public education.

As the founding president of the National Parents Union, Keri leads the fight for social, economic, and educational equity for children and families. NPU connects parents traditionally not represented in policy discussions including parents of color, low-income parents, special needs parents and more to amplify their voice in education decision making.

We are here to fight for equity in education, and making sure the quality of education that a child living in an inner-city receives is the same as the child living in an upper-middle class district. That’s the promise we’ve made to our kids — and the difference between equity and equality.
